New Kia K4 in Attleboro, MA

Discover What's Offered in the Upcoming Kia K4

The new Kia K4 is a brand-new vehicle joining the 2025 model year, and it's to replace the outgoing Kia Forte. This new compact sedan offers a bold new design, new driving aids, and 30 inches of screen space for both the gauge cluster and infotainment center.  When it's released, you're sure to be impressed by what this vehicle provides, so continue reading to learn more about it.

Performance

As the Kia Forte's replacement, Kia has decided to use the same engine that the model had in the new K4. Thus, the K4 will be powered by a 147-hp 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with front-wheel drive and a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). Though, unlike the Forte, the K4 will have a second engine option - a 190-hp turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder. This second engine will only be offered with the GT-Line Turbo trim and be mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Design

As the younger sibling to the K5, the K4 has a similar exterior design, just with a smaller length and wheelbase. The overall length is 185.4 inches with a width of 72.8 inches, thus making the K4 the largest compact vehicle in class. The K4 also has ample rear passenger space, offering 38 inches of legroom and 37.3 inches of headroom.

The interior is much more unique, offering a simple design complete with a large infotainment display with physical buttons for controls. The front of the cabin also offers two bucket seats to increase comfort.

As for the cargo area, the K4 will have plenty of space to hold groceries or even sporting equipment, as the truck space is 14.6 cubic feet.

Technology

At the moment, not much is known about the K4's list of standard equipment. That said, we do know some of what's offered in the higher trims. For instance, two 12.3-inch displays combine to form the car's gauge cluster and infotainment display. There's also a five-inch display that sits between the two monitors and provides access to climate controls. The main infotainment system, though, provides controls for navigation, radio, and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto.

Safety

While the Kia Forte had some basic safety features, the new K4 is loaded with much more to compete with other models in its class. As such, every K4 will have adaptive cruise control and speed limit recognition. Then, there are optional features such as front cross-traffic collision detection and a 360-degree parking camera. There's also a package called Highway Driving Assist 2, which will add lane-centering assistance and require little driver input when on the highway.

Trims

The new Kia K4 will come in five trim levels: LX, LXS, EX, GT-Line, and GT-Line Turbo. While we currently don't know much about the K4's various models, we do have some insight into the GT-Line and GT-Line Turbo.

As with other GT-Line models, the K4 will offer exterior design flourishes such as a unique front and rear fascia with gloss black accents. The model will also sit on 18-inch alloy wheels with gloss black mirror caps and a chrome beltline. In the GT-Line Turbo, drivers can expect to find 18-inch alloy wheels, LED fog lights, and small cube LED headlights.
