The seven-seater Sorento and the five-seater Sportage have a few things in common. As far as performance goes, they both come with two engine options. In the Sportage, you’ll find a base 2.4L 4-cylinder engine with 181 horsepower and 175 lb-ft of torque, or you can upgrade to the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo with 240 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. In the Sorento, a similar 2.4L 4-cylinder engine is standard for those seeking better fuel efficiency and a respectable 185 horsepower and 178 lb-ft of torque, while a larger 3.3L V6 is available with 290 horsepower and 252 lb-ft of torque and a towing capacity of 5,000 lbs when properly equipped.
